Hello horn collectors. I am not a musician. This horn is from the estate of a navy musician. It appears that restoration work was started on this horn. All valves are finger tight and easily removed. The slides DO NOT move for me. The finish is very tarnished (no obvious rust or holes) and there are dents in some of the pipes. This horn is 21 inches long and has a 7 inch bell. The bell looks pretty good to me...there is a dark line all the way around the bell just above the inscription...perhaps the bell was replaced? The spit valve is gone, there is no mouthpiece and no case. The inscription reads: Exposition Universelle de Paris 1900 Hors Concours Membre du Jury Couesnon & Cie Fournisseurs de L’armee 94 Rue D’Angouleme Paris Chateau-Thierry. There is a # 25 inside the pineapple at the bottom of the inscription and I cannot find a serial number. There is a number 6c on the lower part of the middle valve. Please see the photos for more details.
